DZ Bank, one of the largest private banks in Germany with a focus on private investors, aimed to strengthen its customer relationships. For this purpose, the Friedrich Research Magazine was developed, highlighting current trends, mechanics, and products in the financial sector, providing valuable insights to its clients.

Challenge

A state-of-the-art financial research magazine

The goal was to convey the expertise in private banking through a modern online magazine. The design had to match the depth of the financial content, ensuring that both the aesthetic and the substance were equally sophisticated.

An eye for detail

The project was a collaboration between the agencies 3st, which contributed its digital expertise, and GABC, which had deep knowledge of the branding of their long-term client DZ Bank. A content and design concept was tested in a beta version and later rolled out in regular issues to a closed user group. To ensure an engaging presentation, particular attention was paid to details such as animated covers in the main articles and animated infographics.

My role

As Project Lead, I was responsible for both the organizational and creative direction of the project. I developed the conceptual and visual foundation of the magazine and coordinated its implementation across all disciplines. Acting as the main point of contact for the client, the cooperating agency, and external partners. I ensured that requirements were aligned across all parties. Close collaboration with the development team ensured that design and functionality were well aligned.
